Melón Cantaloupe Fresco

Melón Cantaloupe Fresco

(Cucumis cantalupensis)

The cantaloupe melon is native to India and Guinea, but is now cultivated in many other countries, including Brazil, Egypt and across Europe.

Between May and October, we buy our main supply from Italy and Spain; during the rest of the year, we get it from Brazil and Egypt.

Cantaloupes were first cultivated in the town of Cantalupo, Italy. Cantalupo means wolf howl in Italian.

Melon is usually a very popular food to eat during the summer months, as it is hydrating and cleansing on the body.

It is also packed full of vitamin C, which is known to have many great benefits on the body.

Melon is usually a very popular food to eat during the summer months, as it is hydrating and cleansing on the body. It is also packed full of vitamin C, which is known to have many great benefits on the body.

Vitamin C is easily destroyed when it comes into contact with oxygen, excessive heat and some metals (especially when in liquid form). However, many studies have been conducted on it as a cosmetic ingredient because of its excellent antioxidant properties and ability to boost collagen production.

The fresh melon is cut up and blended before being added to our fresh, handmade cosmetics.

We use fresh cantaloupe melon in our Retread hair conditioner for its conditioning and cleansing action.
